I’ve been on the hunt for a small crossbody bag that checks all the boxes: sturdy, made from quality materials, and with a simple design that’s versatile enough to dress up or down. I’m pretty picky when it comes to buying things—I don’t just want something I’ll be okay with; I want something I’ll be genuinely happy to have and that will last.

Eventually I came across this black leather crossbody bag on Etsy, and it just felt right. When it arrived, I knew I’d made the perfect choice. The craftsmanship is excellent, with three compartments—two zippered and one that snaps shut—giving me plenty of room for my phone, sunglasses, wallet, and keys.

The leather has that rich, nostalgic scent that took me straight back to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. It’s also lined on the inside, adding to its durability.

The seller was quick to reply and very helpful when I had questions about the color, explaining how tricky it can be to capture accurately in photos due to lighting, camera settings, display screens and such. Their communication helped reassure me that I was making the right choice.
